~ ABOUT FACE TOUR 1984 ~

 

 (The supporting tour for About Face, which lasted from 30 March to 16 July 1984 and covered Europe and North America. Gilmour's first solo tour, remains his longest at 73 shows.)

 

About Face is the second solo album by Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, released in March 1984. It was co-produced by him and Bob Ezrin. Some of the musicians working with Gilmour were Jeff Porcaro, Pino Palladino, Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord, Roy Harper, Michael Kamen (who also worked on The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking), Sam Brown, and Steve Winwood. The album received positive reviews and peaked at #21 on UK Albums Chart and #32 on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
