Trompe le Monde is the fourth studio album by American (from Boston, Massachusetts) alternative rock band Pixies. It was released on September 23, 1990. Producer Gil Norton. It was Pixies' final studio album before their subsequent break-up two years later. Trompe le Monde is the last album to feature founding bass guitarist Kim Deal. Michael Bonner of Lime Lizard described Trompe le Monde as "one of the best albums that you may very well ever hear". 

 

Bossanova is the third studio album by American (from Boston, Massachusetts) alternative rock band Pixies. It was released on August 13, 1990. Producer Gil Norton. UK magazine Select made Bossanova their album of the year for 1990. The album was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
