(Elton John and his band set out on The One Tour just under a month prior to the album's release. The album proved a big success as did the world tour which lasted for two years. This was John's first tour since his rehabilitation from drug and alcohol addictions and bulimia in 1990.) 
 

The One is the twenty-third studio album by British recording artist Sir Elton John, released on June 22, 1992. Producer Chris Thomas. The One spent three consecutive weeks at No. 2 without reaching No. 1 in the UK, and it was John's biggest-selling album in the US since 1975, and was certified 2x platinum in that country by the RIAA.
