XTRMNTR (pronounced "Exterminator") is the sixth studio album by Scottish rock band originally formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) (ex-drummer The Jesus and Mary Chain) and Jim Beattie, Primal Scream. Released on January 31, 2000. Producer Brendan Lynch - Primal Scream - Jagz Kooner - David Holmes - Hugo Nicolson - The Chemical Brothers - Kevin Shields - Tim Holmes. It peaked at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart. At the NME Carling Awards 2001, it won "Best Album" of the year. Uncut, like NME, named it at #2 on their list of the best albums of 2000.
