Spirit is the fourteenth studio album by the English (from Basildon) Synth-pop electronic rock new wave bandDepeche Mode, released on 17 March 2017. New producer James Ford. This album debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart and on the US Billboard 200.

Before the Applause is the second and the first album in eight years by Chinese post-punk trio (formed in Nanjing in 2004 and now based in Beijing)  Re-Tros (Rebuilding the Rights of Statues 重塑雕像的权利, released on September 22, 2017. Recorded and mixed by Hector Castillo (Philip Glass, David Bowie, Björk).
