"Relax" is the debut single studio by English (from Liverpool) synth-pop band Frankie Goes To Hollywood (leader singer Holly Johnson) , released in the United Kingdom by ZTT Records on October 24, 1983. Producer Trevor Horn. Three weeks later it reached number one in UK. One of the decade's most controversial and most commercially successful records, easily ranking among the ten biggest-selling singles ever. A synthetic and haunting song, adorned with a tribal and addictive rhythm. Their provocative sexual themes led them to be briefly banned by the BBC, drawing further publicity. The song was made available in several different mixes, all created by the original production team. Designer and Illustrator: Anne Yvonne Gilbert.
