The album was released on December 1, 1974 and was the group's second album released that year after Shinin' On (released on March 1, 1974 - produced by Todd Rundgren). Produced by Jimmy Ienner. 
 

We're an American Band is the seventh studio album by American hard rock band Grand Funk Railroad, credited as Grand Funk. The album was released on July 15, 1973. It was certified gold by the RIAA a little over a month after its release. Produced by Todd Rundgren.
 

Live Album is the first live album by American hard rock band Grand Funk Railroad, released on November 16, 1970. It was produced by Terry Knight. Peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and crossed over to the R&B Albums chart at No. 17. It is the s only album to do so and it was so successful that it was certified gold.
