The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is the sixth studio album by English (from Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey) progressive rock band Genesis. It was released as a double album on November 18, 1974. Produced by John Burns - Genesis. It its heir last album with frontman Peter Gabriel before his departure in 1975, after the conclusion of the album's promotional tour. Upon release, "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" received mixed reviews from contemporary critics and initially failed to match the commercial sales of its predecessors, peaking at #10 in the UK and #41 in the US.
