It marks the beginning of the band's development away from their uncompromising early 1970s synthesizer experiments toward a recognizably more melodic sound. Produced by Tangerine Dream. Stratosfear is a classic, and also one of the absolutely best albums by Tangerine Dream. It was Peter Baumann's last studio album with the group.
