(In April 1977, the Eagles embarked on a Europe’s tour to promote Hotel California. 17 gigs in 5 countries: this was the band’s First Major Tour of the continent as "Headliners".)

Hotel California is the fifth studio album by American (from Los Angeles, CA) rock band the Eagles. Released on December 8, 1976. Produced by Bill Szymczyk. Hotel California is one of the best-selling albums of all time. It was their first album with guitarist Joe Walsh, who had replaced founding member Bernie Leadon, and is the last album to feature bassist Randy Meisner,
who abruptly left the band after the 1977 tour. The album won Grammys for "Record of the Year" and "Best Arrangement for Voices" ("New Kid in Town")
