(Tour of Europe 1979 was a concert tour by the British multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield.It was his first tour, 6 years after his debut album, Tubular Bells. It was used as promotion for the Incantations album.)

 

Incantations is the fourth studio album by English musician, songwriter, and producer Mike Oldfield, released on December 1, 1978 by Virgin Records.It was supported by Oldfield's first concert tour as a solo artist, the Tour of Europe 1979, which featured all four parts of Incantations performed on stage with a band, orchestra, and choir.

Tubular Bells is the debut studio album by English multi-instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter Mike Oldfield, released on May 25, 1973 as the first album on Virgin Records. Oldfield, who was 19 years old when it was recorded, played almost all the instruments on the mostly instrumental album. Produced by Tom Newman - Simon Heyworth - Mike Oldfield. Opening theme was used for the soundtrack to the horror film The Exorcist (1973). It stayed in the top ten of the UK Albums Chart for one year from March 1974, during which it reached number one for one week. It peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200.
