~ THE REUNION - ARK TOUR 1983 ~

 

Ark is a studio album by English (from Newcastle) rhythm and blues and rock band (original members) The Animals (that were part of the 1960's music dubbed "the British Invasion" - one of the most agressive and creative rock and roll/R&B groups in the sixties and Eric Burdon one of the great R&B voice). Released in August 9, 1983. Producer The Animals - Steve Lipson. It peaked at #66 on the Billboard Top 200. This reunion album from the Animals is more rock and blues than their first reunion album (Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted - 1977) was. Ark was the second and last studio album for the original Animals reunion, initial lineup, due to management problems. The album was subsequently followed by a tour by the band. For the true Animals’ Fans this record is the final stone in the house constructed by Eric Burdon and company. 

 

 

Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted is a studio album (first reunion album) by English (from Newcastle) rhythm and blues and rock band (original members) The Animals (that were part of the 1960's music dubbed "the British Invasion" - one of the most agressive and creative rock and roll/R&B groups in the sixties and Eric Burdon one of the great R&B voice). Released in August 3, 1977. Producer Chas Chandler. The album marked a reunion of the five original Animals from the group's first incarnation — Eric Burdon, Alan Price, Hilton Valentine, Chas Chandler, and John Steel, in their first recording sessions since 1965. Bassist Chandler produced the effort using his Barn Records team. It peaked at #70 on the Billboard Top 200 and did not chart at all in the UK. However, record company promotion for the album was weak, no tour was held, and the sound was out of time with the popularity of disco and punk rock.
