~ VIGIL IN A WILDERNESS OF MIRRORS TOUR 1990 ~
Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors is the debut solo studio album by Scottish (from Edinburg) rock, neo prog, pop, traditional folk, singer-songwriter Fish (best known for fronting Marillion 1979-88), released on January 29, 1990. Producer Jon Kelly. Fish had departed Marillion in 1988. Although the recordings for this album finished as early as June 1989, EMI Records decided to delay the release until early 1990 to avoid collision with Marillion's album "Seasons End" (first record with Steve Hogarth) , released in September. Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors is undoubtedly a true masterpiece. Very few records manage to amaze me as much as any Fish album does, and this one is testament to his strength as a songwriter and fundamentally as a vocalist. Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection.
