Bossanova is the third studio album by American (from Boston, Massachusetts) alternative rock band Pixies. It was released on August 13, 1990. Producer Gil Norton. UK magazine Select made Bossanova their album of the year for 1990. The album was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.  

 

The Comforts of Madness is the debut studio album by English (from Leeds)
shoegaze dream pop indie pop alternative rock band Pale Saints. It was released on February 12, 1990 by 4AD. Producer John Fryer - Gil Norton. The album peaked at #40 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2016, Pitchfork ranked The Comforts of Madness at number 21 on its list of the 50 best shoegaze albums of all time.
