Core is the debut studio album by American (from San Diego, California) rock band Stone Temple Pilots, released on September 29, 1992. Produced by Brendan O’Brien. The album, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #3 on the Billboard 200, was certified 8x platinum by the RIAA on December 18, 2001, making it the band's best-selling album.
