Mary Star of the Sea is the only album by American alternative rock  supergroup Zwan, following the breakup of the Smashing Pumpkins, Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin joined forces with Matt Sweeney (formerly of the bands Chavez and Skunk) to start Zwan. It was released on January 28, 2003. Produced by Billy Corgan - Bjorn Thorsrud. The album received mostly positive reviews and it debuted at #3 in the U.S. Billy Corgan announced the band's dissolution seven months after the album's release, which he later attributed to internal conflict.
