Contra is the second studio album by the American (from New York City) indie rock band Vampire Weekend, released in January 2010. Producer Rostam Batmanglij. This album debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200. On December 1, 2010, it was announced that Contra was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Alternative Music Album". It was recognized as one of The 200 Best Albums of the Decade by Pitchfork in October 2019.
