 Empire is the forth studio album from the American (from Bellevue, Washington) heavy metal, alternative rock,  progressive metal band Queensrÿche (considered one of the pioneers of progressive metal), released on Septembre 4, 1990. Producer Peter Collins. The album won a 1991 Northwest Area Music Award for Best Metal Recording , and it stands as Queensrÿche's most commercially successful release, reaching triple-platinum status.
