An Awesome Wave is the debut studio album by English  indie alternative rock band Alt-J (∆), released on May 25, 2012 by Infectious Music. The album includes the singles "Matilda"/"Fitzpleasure", "Breezeblocks", "Tessellate" and "Something Good". It peaked at #3 on the UK Albums Chart, and also charted in  Belgium, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy... An Awesome Wave won the 2012 British Barclaycard Mercury Prize.
